Ken Jernigan
Founder & CEO
Ken Jernigan brings decades of utility industry experience and proven leadership to Lineco. His career spans distribution, transmission, and substation operations, beginning with a major investor-owned utility and progressing into executive leadership within the utility contracting industry. Throughout his career, Ken has built and led successful organizations while developing a reputation for operational excellence, strong customer relationships, and a commitment to doing the job the right way.
Ken founded Lineco with a single substation crew and a vision for building a company grounded in safety, quality, integrity, and exceptional service. Under his leadership, Lineco has grown into a trusted utility contractor serving customers across distribution, transmission, and substation construction.
Despite the company’s growth, Ken’s philosophy remains unchanged: take care of your people, deliver quality work safely, and build relationships that last.
Terry Lucas
President
Terry Lucas brings extensive utility construction experience and a broad understanding of the industry to his role as President of Lineco. Starting his career as a substation groundman, he built his leadership foundation from firsthand field experience and a deep respect for the crews who perform the work.
Over the years, Terry expanded his expertise across substation, distribution, transmission, safety, equipment, operations, and the financial side of the business. His progression from the field into executive leadership gives him a practical, people‑focused perspective on supporting crews, serving customers, and executing projects effectively.
Today, Terry helps lead Lineco with a focus on safe operations, accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement. His leadership reflects Lineco’s commitment to its people, its customers, and delivering quality work safely and consistently.
Bob Hobbs
Senior Vice President of Operations
Bob Hobbs brings extensive experience in electric utility construction and operations to Lineco. His expertise spans substation, transmission, distribution, safety and compliance, and human resources, giving him a well-rounded understanding of both the operational and the people-focused sides of the industry.
Throughout his career, Bob has successfully led construction operations, overseen major utility projects, and helped expand overhead and underground distribution services. At Lineco, his leadership is grounded in the belief that safety is more than a requirement – it is a responsibility to every employee and their family. He works to promote a culture where employees feel empowered to speak up, look out for one another, and make safety the priority on every job.
Whether working with employees, customers, or industry partners, he believes trust, communication and mutual respect are essential to long-term success. His approachable leadership style and commitment to his people help strengthen the connection between the field and management.
Bruce Kolmetz
Director of Distribution Operations
Throughout his career, Bruce has served in leadership roles ranging from Foreman and General Foreman to managing Transmission Operations and ultimately leading Distribution Operations. His hands-on experience, industry knowledge, and ability to lead from the field have made him a trusted and proven leader.
Bruce is passionate about building strong teams and lasting relationships, creating an environment where communication, trust and teamwork are the center of success. His leadership is focused not only on the work in front of him, but also on long-term growth-developing people, strengthening operations, and building teams prepared for the future.
At Lineco, Bruce remains focused on safety, strong field leadership, operational excellence, and supporting the crews who get the job done every day.
Kevin Dutton
Director of Substation Operations
Kevin is a highly respected member of our Lineco team. Through his long tenure (25+ years), he has earned a sterling reputation as the “go to” person for solving complex challenges in the field, with a depth of knowledge that is respected by customers, coworkers, and industry peers alike.
Throughout his career he has provided maintenance and construction services and oversight to investor-owned, cooperatives, municipal utility, and private systems. His knowledge, of all things’ substation, is without equal.
Beyond his technical expertise, Kevin is dedicated to sharing his knowledge and developing the people around him. He values strong working relationships, teamwork, and passing along decades of field experience to the next generation of utility professionals.
Luke Odom
Director of Transmission Operations
With extensive knowledge of high voltage utility construction, Luke guides field operations, supports project execution and ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality.
As the newest member of the Lineco leadership team, Luke brings a fresh perspective and a strong commitment to teamwork, communication and continued growth. He is focused on building relationships with our customers and leadership while gaining a deeper knowledge of Lineco’s operations and long-term goals.
In his role, Luke will help support the continued development of our transmission division by emphasizing safety, accountability, strong field leadership, and operational excellence. We look forward to the experience and perspective he brings.
Heather Crawford
Director of Business Operations
Heather Crawford oversees the business operations that support Lineco’s people, projects, and continued growth. Her responsibilities span human resources, employee benefits, payroll, finance, administrative operations, and customer support, providing critical coordination between the field and the office.
Known for her ability to manage the many moving parts of a growing organization, Heather focuses on creating efficient processes, supporting employees, and keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly. Her attention to detail and commitment to service help ensure both employees and customers receive responsive, accurate, and dependable support.
As Director of Business Operations, Heather plays an integral role in strengthening Lineco’s internal operations while helping position the company for continued success.
